The 1st Uganda-Somalia Investment and Business Summit in 2022, held 8th-9th August in Kampala, aimed to boost trade and investment by connecting Ugandan and Somali private sectors, showcasing opportunities in manufacturing, agribusiness, and services, and exploring a bilateral investment treaty to leverage Uganda’s peacekeeping role into economic ties, highlighting the need for Somali investment awareness in Uganda.
