The 1st Uganda–Tanzania Business Forum was a landmark event held on September 4–6, 2019, in Dar es Salaam, under the theme “Promoting Bilateral Trade and Investment for Growth and Sustainable Development.” It marked the first forum of its kind, aiming to leverage the strong historical ties between Uganda and Tanzania to significantly boost economic relations, reduce trade barriers, and foster regional integration. The forum was presided over by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda and President John Pombe Magufuli of Tanzania.
